Rest in Peace, Ronnie Baldwin
Ronnie Baldwin, 63 of Wynne, executive director of the Arkansas Sheriffs Association (ASA), passed away Sunday afternoon in Little Rock after a long battle with cancer.
Ronnie has been at our helm of the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Association since 2012 after serving more than 30 years in Law Enforcement.
Ronnie once said in an interview with County Lines magazine, “ I firmly believe actions define character.” He also said the executive director position was his “dream job.”
He was born in Cross County and graduated from Wynne High School in 1970.
He was a board member of the National Sheriffs’ Association and was appointed as a board member of the Arkansas Professional Bail Bond Licensing Board serving for more than 11 years. He also was an active city councilman for the city of Wynne.
Arkansas Sheriffs’ Association Executive Board President, Newton County Sheriff Keith Slape stated, “Ronnie Baldwin was a good and honorable man.”
Survivors include his wife Martha and his mother Marge Baldwin both of Wynne.
His children include sons Ronald “Bo” Baldwin Jr., Barry Baldwin, daughter Brittany and several grandchildren.
